Hey,
I would have to say the DS 90 is way too small for a 14 year old. You'll be tired of it in no time. I suggest getting a Honda 300EX or 250EX (clutch or no clutch). That would be my best bet.
You can 300EXs for real cheap now (they date back to 1996, although they changed some things in 1999). They have decent power and go about 55 mph stock. And they wheelie pretty good too.

You should look into the Suzuki z250 or a Yamaha Warrior 350. A 90cc is to small for your age. Both my daughters (13 and 15) ride Yamaha Warrior 350's. One thing I will say for the Warrior, it is like a Timex watch. It just keeps going and going and going

Pitbull- the DS 90 will be fun for you for about 10 mins or until and 8 year old on a 250 waxes you- if you buy it for yourself you will regret it very soon. My son (8yrs) rides a 90 cc two stroke and we are getting very close to needing to up grade to something more substantial.
There are guys your age and size running the DS650 and love it. If funds are tight find something in your budget but get something bigger that you can grow into.
just my .02

You should'nt have a problem finding a used Blaster or Mojave in your budget. The blaster is cheap and easy to work on/mod. The Mojave does'nt need working on and has a reverse. Too bad both are kick start...
