you will notice a difference but if you add 2 teeth on the back sprocket it will feel the same but have more clearance. I dont think it will be tippy

will it pull the 22's with out changing the sprockets? seems like the stock gearing is low enought to pull them with no trouble.

its always better to change the sprokets, b-sides the 400 is kinda low on power so im pretty sure it'll struggle with stock gearing

Get a 13 tooth front for running with 22" tires especially in the mountain of WV. Seen them on e-bay for under $15 many times.

13 tooth is a little too low of gearing, unless you like to just crawl around. I have a 14 tooth front, and it is great for the dunes and tight trails, but when you get to a wide open spot, you really want that top speed (that you will lose) back. You're not going to notice that much of a difference with the 22" tires. I say buy them, try them out, and if they bog your motor down, then change your gearing a little bit. I currently run 21" sand tires with a 14 tooth sprocket, and I've got power to spare, so I'm thinking you'd be fine...especially if you plan on adding a pipe, air filter, etc...

My brother tried a set of 22" shredders with stock gearing and a k&N power kit. He didn't like them though because they were to heavy and caused it to handle poorly. He didn't notice that much of a power loss but he did notice an increase in top speed. After a couple weeks he put his 20" razors back on.
