Default my little train will not haul @$$ ... help

My Ds will not haul @$$.... it will go ,but as fast as a polaris 250. It seems to rev fine and idle fine. I just put in a new clutch and springs.

I added 22 in. rears a while ago. Then I started riding a kx250 ... to make a long story short I am back riding it and it feels slooooow. and is slow.

Do you think the 22 are making it slow? Could it need a valve job or should I do a compression check.

I bought a 14 tooth front sproket ,but have not put it on yet. Something is not right

Those 22's aren't making you slow. You have a different problem and I'm not sure what. Valves possibly..

Check compression, check the valve clearances. Check everything you can think of. Ds's are not slow. Good luck.

Hey,

Dragged a KX 250 and a YZ 250 3 times each last weekend. Won 4 of 6 races. Lost 1 race to each.

I'm quite proud actually. The KX seemed faster, and trailed me about 1-1.5 or more bike lenghts most of the time. YZ was a little slower.

Wasn't really that close of a race, and if I had more seat time on the DS, I would have won by a bigger margin.

So your saying I should have smoked both to h3!!?

I wasn't really revving that high when I dumped the clutch and didn't rev it out too much.

I they they were just piped and jetted.

Remember, these are 250cc 2-strokes that weigh half of what a DS does...

I have raced a few dirt bikes and I havent been beat by any of them. Thats not saying there arent any out there that will destroy me. I raced 125 cr, 250cr , yz250 and a couple of others. It wasnt much of competetion. I yanked them out the whole and started adding bike lengths real quick.

Maybe they were modded...I don't really know...I don't know the guys that owned them, they just seemed to have pipes.

I have never lost to any quad. Including piped Raptors and 2 different piped banshees. 440EXs were child's play. I'm gonna bring it in to my dealer to have the clearance checked soon. How long do the dealers take to check them (labor hours??).

Maybe I wasn't giving it enough gas...
