I recently bought a 04 Sportsman 500 and have seen some light kits for them that will let all three lights work at once. They seem cheap. Are they any good? If anyone has used them, have they caused any problems with your machine. Thanks, Thomas

 

Well I can't be too much help to you. My friend just purchased one of those kits for his 700, but he hasn't installed it yet. He seemed to think it would work fine.

 

I've modified both my quads with a $.99 cent toggle switch I mounted on the pod. just splice into the yellow and green wires in the bundle coming from the handlebar switch. with the toggle on it will run all three lights, off-it works normally. I also put another toggle for the reverse overide, and use the yellow button for a horn I mounted in the pod and powered from the aux power socket.
