Finally confirmed that the "wrap around" design on the nerf webbing for the polaris pred nerfs prob. could have been rethought a little. The loop closest to the rear tire got destroyed this past weekend during a Harescramble, and in it's place was a good scratch from what ever hashed it!! But I'm pretty sure the front 2 loops never get touched, cause most of my bumping and rubbing of trees is done in the rear end...make sure the front is clear and let the rear bounce its way through!! I think the front 2 are shielded pretty well, so the straps should still sit in there well...just sharing some durability tests to those that were curious about the design a few months ago.

Don't forget my bent clutch lever and I even lost a dust cap of the front hub...but this was a cheap race compared to the bent steering post and broken throttle in the last race!! Hey, at least I finished this time!!

 

did you look at the pro armor nerfs, real nice with the heel guard built in. looks and fits great. i know pure polaris is polaris but sometimes you have to go with what works best

 

Yeah, I know there are other options now. But I needed nerfs for a race, and at the time I needed to purchase, polaris, and I think DG were the only options...so I went polaris! The actual bars are holding up wonderfully, they took a whoopin'!! But maybe I will get clever and make some buckle brackets and sew the webbing back together, or just let it hang on the front 2, I don't think those will get banged up too much!
