Default should my trailer have shocks ??

I use two tie downs and the winch to hold down my SP500 ,but if it's not pulled down tight the trailer and bike bounces and rocks alot....I had this trailer built but there's no shocks ..I wonder if it would ride better with shocks...???

It might, but you don't see many trailers with shocks. Make sure when you tie it down to compress the suspension as much as you can. An alternative is to tie it down by the suspension itself (lower a-arms) and let it's sprung weight bounce as much as it wants. This worked well with my 250 Trailboss and Sport 400, don't know about the heavier SP. I always use 4 tie-downs, one at each corner.

Have someone sit on the quad and hook it so that the suspension is compressed and see if that makes a difference.

I have a trailer just big enough to fit my quad it is 4x7 with no shocks. Make sure you use good ratcheting tie down and tie it down by the a arms and/or rear axle.
