hey guys i just bought a trail blazer the piston was cracked and i replaced it i put a hot seat pipe on and jetted it to 150 when i have it at full throtle it wants to bog do i need a clutch kit

 

I stuck the 150 jet it and it would bog down and die. i stuck the 140 in and it runs fine. try that maybe?

 

What your bog is telling you is that you are either too rich or too lean.You have to do some plug checks at 1/4 throttle 1/2 and full.You need to run the bike for a couple minutes then do these checks.Make sure you hold your throttle at these different positions then hit the kill switch by your left hand.Check your plug and these readings will tell you why your bog is there.The perfect plug color would be paper bag brown, a white porcelain would mean it is too lean,and a black color would indicate too rich.Get your jetting right then you can check into a clutch kit to get the most power out of your pipe and get it to the ground.Hope this helps.

 

Did you buy the pipe from hotseat and is that the jet that they sent or is it used and you are guessing on the jet size. Hotseat pipes will go up 1 full jet size without anyother mods. Most likely it is to rich. You can also open the airscrew a little bit to see if it changes.

 

thanks for the advice no i asked a guy at the polaris dealer what jet to put in it he said maybe a 160 to a 150 i bought the pipe when i bought the trailblazer it came with it. My plug is really black so i guese i am running rich. Is that the size jet i should have in it and if not what should i have thanks for all the help im new to all this

 

Ok the plug is really black so yess it is rich. Your stock jet is 135. Get a 140 and it should be ok.
