sound like a good deal any1???? its from a salvage yard and i think i might just go ahead and buy it considering a used recon carb would probably be hard to find. opinions?

 

Well to me that soonds a little high to me but I don't really know what a carb would go for. Since you probably wont find another one anywheres else and you want to get your recon running then I guess your gonna have to get it. Have you checked on ebay, b/c there was a bunch of used parts off a recon but thats been a while ago and I haven't been on it lately.

 

Since Service Honda sells brand new ones for $165 its probalbly not a good deal . Never I repeat never buy parts from a local dealer thier prices are in many cases almost double what you can get them from Service Honda. Look it up Service Honda.com

 

actually its 183.00 u r probably looking at the 250ex carb but i called and gave me the part number and its around 183 bucks

any more opinions?

Why would you buy a used one for 175$ when you could spend 8 more bucks and get a brand new one?

 

well i just figured that out now didnt i =)

 

I would check on ebay. I bought a used 250ex carb for $30. I just bought it for something to tinker with. I certainly wouldn't pay full price unless i had to have it.
