I'm bored .050 with porting. Which brand help and not hinder.

i just put some new gaskets on my 99 shee bought cosmetics. to me they seem alittle thin and on the cheap side.i say next time ill go with versa and not cry over a couple bucks.remember its the little things that can kill amotor

But thin means more compression. I like that. As long as they hold up. Which base gaskets are best for the transfer ports?

I have used COMETIC Gaskets for years. No problems what so ever. I race quite often so I replace mine at least every month or two.

You can order thin or thick base gaskets from them. As well as differant thickness of head gaskets. They even make complete gaskets sets, including case center, clutch side, etc.

I use 2 base gaskets (thick to raise the transfer port heights) with a thin spring steel head gaskets (to increase compression) on my womans quad (86 TRX250R). It runs great, the last set of gaskets were on for 2 years. I only replaced them because I felt it was time.
