My friend is planning on getting a DS650 as soon as he sells his ported-cammed-hi compression- Scrambler 500 (all that and not even enough *****!lol). Why I am here is do you think it would be best to get a brand new one for the price, or get a used since DS's are seemingly indestructible? Also, what are just some tips for him? I am not familiar with Bombardier, so I just need to know the Do's and Don'ts of owning a DS. Thanks alot.

Just my opinion, but if you get a new one you get a good warranty, just in case the mfg was hung over that day.

The day you get it check all nuts, bilts, fluid levels, chain tension, chain roller. Don't baby it, ride it like you just stole it.

After about 10 hours do the first maintenance. Install a CDI, K&N and re-jet, get some decent tires and have a blast!
