18" Fast Trekkers on my V
#1
I finally got my Douglas Billet Beadlocks on my V. I went with 21" Razr's on the front and the 18" Trekkers on the rear. I used 4 1/2 spacers on each side oin the rear. The total width is around 50". I am really glad I tried them. The 18" tires are so much smaller, when side by side with the factory 22" itp's, the top of the trekker tire is level with the top of the rim, about 5 inches shorter. I weigh 320 pounds and when I punch it on damp grass, I just hook up no spin. I can feel a difference in acceleration also. It also seems to wheelie better at higher speeds.
Looks kind of funny but handles the turns way better with the 50" width. I will have to buy some Elkas and I hope to lower the front to match the rear. I also plan to buy the same spacers for the fronts to match the width of the rears. I also lost a ton of ground clearance All I have to do to go trail riding is switch the wheels hubs and all, only 2 bolts
