Who's got one that they will part with? Non leaking of course.

I know I'm breaking the rules. Sorry.

TIA

I took mine to my buddy that owns a radiator shop. He said it should cost about 25 to weld up. I had thoughly cleaned mine and sanded the black off. I took him to lunch while his employees fixed it. 8 dollars for a 25 dollar repair. They also beefed up the other areas that needed it.

I have a friend that has a friend that does tig welding. The friend of the friend is a busy guy and didn't get to it the last time I had the tank at my friends house for a couple weeks. I got tired of waiting and took it back. Tried some more monkey rigging but it doesn't appear its going to hold this time either. One day it'll get welded up and have no more problems. The oil tanks on ebay usualy go cheap enough and I missed the bid by $6 last time. The stock tank is ridiculously priced and the aftermarket ones though better quality are way over priced as well. The friend will do it for free some day. I know I can get it welded cheaply enough from someone else. Why Yamaha didn't weld the bungs?? is beyond me. Just another cheap way out from Yamaha.

Mine, where the oil line connects on the bottom of the tank, the area at the base of that connection is where its leaking. It should be a welded connection imo. It looks like it was just pressed in or mabe it's molded that way but it takes the brunt of any vibrations etc.
