Can anyone tell me of a Yamaha dirt bike engine that will fit a Blaster? I see everyone blowing over $1,000 trying to make gains with fancy looking overpriced add ons and aftermarket stuff. Isn't it simpler to get a larger used engine? I had a friend that easily put a Honda 480(I believe) in his 85 ATC250 and it kicked butt! Thanks for your help!

the 490 looks like it would fit to me my friend has one and the front motor mount looks about the same the only problem i seen was the swingarm/motor mounting. that would be a killer kike tho. might have to invest in a longer swingarm.

you can put a swingarm off an old tri-z on there.

 

extend teh frame a few inches and fabricate a diffent swing arm set up....u can weld right?
