i don't know how different tire sizes (wider, taller) effect handling ... i want to get some new tires and want to pick a good front and back combination that won't make my machine handle bad. i would like to get as much ground clearance as possible and something good for mud.

 

Those Ohtsu's are great tires for hookup...but I guess ground clearence could be an issue where you ride. I am running Pure Sports Bandits--22s for the back and 23s out front. They are a bit heavy but tough as nails. I'm not sure you're going to be able to successfully run a larger tire in the back without removing or modifying your healguards. The 04' swingarm is 1/2" shorter than earlier models and, although I'm not positive, there may be an issue with the 22" tire hitting the guards if you bottom out the suspension. Hopefully we'll hear something from someone else that has an 04' model.
