My friend just got a used 93 kx250, The guy said he lost the kickstarted, so we bumpstarted it. It ran pretty good,just needs a lil tuning. We got it home, took the Kickstarter of the KDX200 I own, and put it on the KX. When we tried to kick it the it didnt grab until half kick, and sometimes not at all. Bumbstarts fine, but won't kick. I think this means we need check the spring and the starter gear. I just want to know how deep the starter is buried in there. Please dont tell me I have to split the cases or anything crumy like that. I appreiate the help.
