How fast is a Recon, and does it take a long time to get up to speed? Will the recon handle small jumps?

The recon is very fast and I have heard that it's
the second fastest utility qaud out there . The
get up and go power is real good to, so you don't haft to worry about that.YOU'R QUESTION ABOUT WILL IT HANDLE SMALL JOBS, NO!, IT WILL HANDLE LARGE JOBS AS WELL AS SMALL ONES. This atv will handle anything that you want it to, you will not be dissapointed in this atv at all. All i can say is RECONS RULL for there size!!!

Very sporty for a 250. This thing handles very very good. It takes no effort to steer this thing.

Take one for a test drive & you will see.

I borrowed a friend's '96 Honda 300 2WD to ride with a visitor from out of state. (My quad has a flat, and the "tars" I've ordered haven't arrived)! Since then, I've been looking at the Honda 350 2WD Rancher ES. I loved the electric shift on the Honda 450ES I've sold, and the Recon doesn't have it. Based on the Rancher's weight versus the Recon, it looks like the Recon is more of a "fun machine". Whaddya think??

I would like to drive a 2wd rancher! Espcially since I own a 4wd version. The electric shift is nice.

I just purchased my 00Recon a couple of months ago, and I can honestly tell you it rocks! No... literally, it rocks... I went out riding this past weekend and hit a large boulder in the middle of a field head on! Not only did the Recon handle the boulder, but it stayed upright! I was a little damaged, but my bike didn't get a scratch. So, if you need a dependable, hard riding, fast little bike then the Recon is for you. Oh, and for the jumping, mine jumped up and over that boulder with no problem... ouch! Now, if I can just learn to look where I am going... well, you know. LOL

I own a Rancher ES 4x2, and a Recon. Both GREAT BIKES! But for tight trial riding and awsome agility, you can't beat that little fart Recon!!! Jeff 00 Rancher ES 4x2, 97 Recon, 97 Lakota.

I think its plenty sporty for a utility quad. Its cheaper than the Lakota Sport, and incredible at handling. Its faster than the TRX300 2wd which is just like the rubicon. So heres another happy RECON customer
