predator clutch aftermarket...transmission???
#1
Does anyone know of anyone making an aftermarket clutch for the Predator?
Has anyone had any problems with the stock clutch on the Predator...or anyone had to replace it yet?
What all transmission troubles besides the hard shifting has anyone had to deal with?
I have a 03 that has now got a smoked clutch and would rather buy something other than stock. Would anyone have any idea if the stock Predator clutch could be replaced with something other than Predator clutch...for example a clutch from another type of 4-wheeler???
I have also went through a broken shifting shaft, anyone esle had this happen yet?
Also anyone running anything but synthetic oil? If so, what weight? What seems to be working best and any problems???
Appreciate any info...

Contact Roger at the Superbike shop, they have Hinson clutch baskets and heavy duty clutch plates to handle high horsepower, and trans mods if needed. I have the modded trans and clutch kit and have never had any trans concerns. I use maxima 0w30 racing oil, better shifting and more power on the dyno than ps-4.

I've went back and forth between PS-4 and Amsoil 10W-40. Every time I use the PS-4, it seems like it is so hard to find neutral and shifting is notchier. I don't think I'll use PS-4 anymore, tried it three times and always the same results.

There are a few things you can do to improve the durability. For a drag Pred., you will have the gears coated with a moly type coating, cross drill gear to relieve pressure. The 04 trans has thicker shift forks and better springs. The Hinson clutch basket and heavy duty clutches are a simple bolt on that works great. If you are running aftermarket CDI, you can use the shift interupt to make clutchless shifts. The Pred trans will handle alot of power with just a little tweeking. For a stock bike, upgrading to the 04 forks and springs, and cross drill the gear will make it bullet proof. Running lighter oil improves the shift quality as well as making a little more power.

Fastpred- Was yours under warranty? or was the 6 months up? Did Polaris pay the bill?
My 4th gear is gone and I'm wondering if Polaris is good to fix the problem or not since it's past the 6 months warranty. I have about 58hrs on it.
