First Quad!!!

All,
I have a 4 year old son and am looking to buy him a 50cc quad for X-Mas. He has been on my Artic Cat 500 since 9 months old (with me of course) and has outgrown the electric quad which he currently has. My question to everyone..... is there anyone manufacturer out there that is above all the others in the 50cc market . I have looked at the Dinli Dino and JP and like the parent remote kill option on the quad. I have also noticed that there are numerous aftermarket parts (air filters, exhaust etc.) available for the Dinli for racing should he be inclined, once he progresses. I would welcome any and all information regarding the 50cc ATV market.........thanks in advance...............LBl

One that comes to mind is the new Polaris Predator 50... it's a smaller fram than a regular 50cc quad.. unless your 4yo is on the big side, a regular 50cc quad may be too big (my almost 6yo is a bit tiny for her 50cc Polaris Scrambler).
Other manufactures make a smaller sized mini 50cc quad too... the big differance between them is the suspension.. some have an IFS set up, while others have a set up similar to a solid axle front end.
The remote kill switches sound nice, but I have heard that they have a short range... others have tethers that come out the rear of the quad for the parent to hold... you'll get tired of chasing your kid on their quad at 10mph really fast

As their first ATV, I used a Suzuki quadsport 50 for my 4 year old triplets and 6 year old. Yeah, I ran behind them for a while but I think it was actually good for me.
The Suzuki quadsport 50 has a low center of gravity and is not too quick. 2 years later I still have it and the boys still have fun on it although a couple of them are ready to move up.
The things I don't like are the pull start and single speed transmission. Also a bit pricey.
Good Luck

i agree with everyone on this one. my son has a dinli 90cc, i've had a quite a bit of problems out of it. finally decided to sell and go with the alpha sport. main thing is dinli, atleast his 90, has absolutley no supsension. everytime he hits a bump or jump, it literally shakes parts loose, never a good thing.
