The O3 Rincon is $5,999 out the door at Lake Hill Motors, so I'd say your price is high. Abernathy is another good place to check but they don't post their prices on the web anymore, you have to call.

1. Top speed is 65-67. Some hit 65 and others have hit 67. This is downhill, hitting the rev limiter. It will run roughly 61-63 on flat pavement.
2. Yes, it will pull the front wheels very easily.
3. Yup, it can poweslide. Honda has tuned the suspension very precisley and did a nice job at it, you can toss around the rear easily if you want to.

Default New Rincon?

I would like to get a new ATV in the near future and I had pretty much narrowed down my selection to either the Prairie 700, or the Grizz 660. Then I read about the 650 Rincon today, and it looks like a very nice rig. Couple questions....

Does the Rincon have a low range? What about a front locking Diff?

Nope, no low range. I was worried about that right after I got mine, but I've had it up in the mountains and had no trouble at all. Just put it in ESP. And no, no front locking diff. IMO, you only need a locking diff if you're going to be non-stop in the goo. The ride is great.

Default New Rincon?

Hey,
My friend just bought a Rincon 650 and he is having problems with it. We ride mostly in the mud in South Fla, and the Automatic mode will not work in the mud. He has to keep it in first gear all of the time. He says that he wishes that first gear was shorter or that it had 4 or 5 gears instead of 3. He has also had shifting problems when the lights are turned on, It wouldn't shift down. I think that there was water in the switch or something because he hasn't mentioned it lately. He is also fouling plugs down here. I don't know if the atv is set up properly from the factory or what. His bike hesitates really bad and the plug was black. He had to buy the jet kit and the K&N filter and he is testing it out now. He hasn't gotten it right yet because it kept stalling out in while going slow.

The rincon also doesn't have a front diff lock or disc brakes in the front. Some people say that Independant suspension is the bomb, but I had a Sportsman 500 for a long time and I wasn't very impressed with it. THey lean really bad in corners and are more difficult to have fun on than a bike with a solid axle in the rear.

I just bought a Prarie 700 and I love it. I raced the Rincon and I smoked him by at least 5 bikes and I was still pulling when I let off. He did have it running good going fast, but at low RPM's it would still stall out. The P700 is a blast to ride and will slide like a sport bike. The fun factor is very high. Compared to the Rincon and the Sportsman 500, the Prarie is a much more powerful machine and much more fun to ride. The belt has to be checked every 800 miles or so. This is the only draw back that I can see. I'm going to install the black spring on mine. I have read the instructions and they are very easy. I hope this helps a little.

(1) I have had mine up to 60 with more to go, others claim 65 mph

(2) Mine will pull wheelies all day long.

(3) No problem power sliding if you need to, the Honda is set up nicely.

(4) I paid a little over $ 6 K for mine but there are some good deals going on now.

Get the Rincon, you will not be disappointed. The more I ride mine...the better it gets.
