I dont know, I still have the stock old "crappy" design ones on mine and they are still tight. You must really ride it hard

Default scrambler tie-rod ends

Those tie rods suck! I used female 1/2-20 rod ends on my 400 scrambler and my buddies 250 TB. I just drilled the holes oversize to 1/2 inch in the spindle and the stem and put 1/4 inch tall spacers under the ends at the spindle. Shim the inner ones tight in the stem with washers or spacers and use good grade 8 bolts for everything. This was way cheaper than using the polaris parts( at around $50 per end) I think I have about $60 in all 4 ends and the hardware. This setup has far outlasted the original tie rods, they were loose after about six months and ready to kill after about nine mo. I do ride ride mine pretty much every weekend though.

Is it possible to replace them with the 99, or 2000 parts?
I've put some rough miles on mine and all is still fine.
