Went to the stealership to get a twist throttle and noticed this cool little billet finger throttle with dust on it. Talked him out of it cheap but picked up the twist throttle just in case. It worked fine with the Raptor throttle cable, no adapters or engineering needed. Mounted it under the brake lever about 30 degrees and will test it on flat ground this week.

Anyone use one on a quad? Drawbacks?

 

I think it sounds like a good idea. Let us know how you like it. I have one on my 88JS550 but it came with it and my 250r had a twist on it when I bought it. I like the JS finger throttle better, but I don't know how it would act on the 250r. I like the twist now that I am used to it, but when I first started riding it there were a couple instances where I almost lost it. No harm done, so kept it on.

 

The only problem that I can think of is that it might be hard to use the front brake and the throttle at the same time. I don't know if that would be too much of a problem though. I can't think of too many instances where you would want to do that.

 

Any updates on the finger throttle idea?
