All this talk about the Honda Rubicon, but what is the Rubicon Trail itself like? I am headed to Lake Tahoe this summer and figured gee.. while I'm there... sure would be fun!! The only thing on the web is about jeeps. They take 3 days. I know they go slow.
How long does it take on a Sportsman? We would probably go with a friend who has a nice TJ Jeep,
so he could carry our camping gear-and we could wait for him, like we do everytime we go out with a big rig. We ride 50-60 miles a day on rough mountain trails. (Here in New Mexico they just CLOSED our National Forest, something about a fire, go figure) Anyway, I sure would appreciate some info on the Rubicon trail from someone who's
done it on their 4-wheeler. How about those ATV trailers for hauling camping gear? How far is it?
My Sportsman will go about 85 miles on a tank of gas. Thanks for the info...Silly Later, Fourlix

SP500,EXP425,Mag325 AutoCat500 still for sale.

I was wondering Where Honda came up with the Rubicon name. Someone told me Rubicon is a river in northern Italy which would make no sense at all but some wild trail called Rubicon make sense thanks for clearing that up.

Try this place for information the Rubicon trail. http://www.off-road.com/4x4web/travels/rubicon.html I remember about 40 years ago fishing in the Rubicon River at a place called Hell Hole. The trip in was really rough, even for a nine year old, but the fishing was great.

Do an internet search using google.com and type in Rubicon trail. It has a lot of different sites for info.

Hi Ray, Fourlix here, or Alex actually, Hey I went to UW in Laramie, class of '76. Small world eh? We ride in the Burros east of Silver mostly.
It is a small mountain range riddled with mines and trails and is mostly National Forest. Great place to ride. My e-mail address is alex@gilanet.com drop me an e when you are coming down and we'll go for a ride.
Silly Later, Fourlix
