Default scrammy 500 vs 650 prairi

In a 100 yard drag race which would win? The scrammy or the prairi. (Both being stock) Do you think my 03 scrammy 500 would give th Kawi KFX 700 a run for it's money with these mods ( HPD pipe and Jet, aggressive clutch, and air box kit) in 100yd drag race?

The Prairie and no.

You're going to need a 400 Scrambler with at least a pipe & clutch kit to deal with either of those.

With those mods you may beat the 650 but not the KFX.

Default scrammy 500 vs 650 prairi

I raced a bone stock 700 prairie with my scrambler 500 last weekend, and he would take me off the line, and get a few quad lenghts ahead, but i would start to pull on him at a couple mph faster on top end and then pass him up...this was on pavement. In a field, he pulled on me and stayed ahead pulling farther away. Not sure if the prairie has better suspension or tires, or if it was cause i had my back tires aired up to 7psi and they were rock hard and not getting as good of traction as his tires were.
The mods to my scrambler are in my sig.

A stock p650 tops out around the same speed as a stock scrammy. The p650 has more power so it will get the better start and pull harder, but like the others said, you should be able to catch up and MAYBE pass him. The V-force is another story. Depending on traction conditions, you mau be able to stay with him for the first few humdred feet but the V will pull harder and farther away.

Ya with those mods you will probley beat a stock p650 but not the kfx700. If it was a srambler stock and a p650 stock the p650 would blow it away.

I'm ordering these mods for my Scrammy this week. We will soon find out the true results. I've raced a KFX700 already with my stock scrammy and was actually surprised @ how well it did. The KFX did win but not by as much as you would think. We were side by side for the first 75 to 100 feet then he started pulling off. I think with these mods it should be a good race in 100yds. I'm sure the KFX would still win the top end battle. BigBadScrambler, Have you raced a KFX with your moded Scrammy?

No, I haven't raced a 700. I have raced a DS650 and stuck with him until he hit 4th gear. When I was stock he started pulling away right away in second gear

Well guy's, I think I answered my on question today. I got the chance to race a prairi 700 today in 100 yds. Very close race. Basically traction is ultimately what determins the winner. I won the first race on the scrammy and he won the second. They ran pretty much the same.
