I'm thinking about trading my Wolverine in on a Scrambler. My buddy has a 400 Xplorer and I want to be able whip his butt. But, the old back isn't what it used to be and I like the ride quality of the Xplorer. If the Scrambler isn't any harsher than the Wolverine I might consider that over the Xplorer. Anybody out there who has ridden both the Scram and Wolv that could give me a comparison?
TIA

I've ridden both, but unfortunately 6 months a part which doesn't make a good side by side comparison. I really don't think the scrambler is any rougher riding than the wolverine. I do know it is substantially quicker though.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm doing a lot of soul searching but starting to lean towards the Xplorer more. If I go with the Scram, stick some racks on it, do the speedo etc. I'm over the price of the Xplorer with a Scram. So that is a partial decision maker too.

I have a Team Alba Wolverine and I run with a 500 scambler and on the trail they are even only because you can only go so fast, but on the street the scrambler just smokes my wolverine, but I still rather have a standard transmission.

Buy the Wolverine, they can be modified to 500cc and manual clutch. Scramblers scamper from those things. They win the 4X4 races, mud or trail. That setup must be the sportiest 4X4 rig you can get.

Wolveman,
I have a Scrambler 500 and my friend has a Wolverine, mine rides alot smoother than his, but then when you ride my wifes Sportsman they all feel rough.

Well, after a lot of thought, I decided to with the Xplorerfor the softer ride. Hopefully, I'll be out cruising this weekend . The Scram would have been a fun ride though!
