sp600 primary & secd. clutch springs
#1
im wanting to install a set of prim. and sec. clutch springs from dalton on my 600, how hard is this task and what tools are needed, my dealer will do it for 50 bucks, but i feel like i can do this as im a car tech anyway, just have not been inside a quad yet!

Should be easy enough for you then. The secondary is a little tough for one person without the compressor tool. It can be done though, I have doen it by myself several times. You need a torque wrench and a very stout set of snap ring pliers. A set of sockets with a long extension(or a nut driver with an extension to get the cover off). Easy stuff especially if you have a manual.

i waiting for the 2004 manuals to come out ,so i do not have 1 at this time, is there some where i can get specifect info on this task, torque specs ,parts brakedown ect.

I can give you the torque specs from my bike, most specs in the pvt should be the same. I would prefer if someone with a sportsman book gives em to you to be sure. Also should be able to call the dealer or Probably Dalton as well, but I am willing to help. Really that is all you need the book for. Most places with clutch kits have intstructions as well.
