I have been reading peoples posts about how polaris is coming out with an EFI sportsman 6/700. I just purchased an 2004 sportsman 700 and am upset that I did not wait for this. Will there be any way to convert mine from a carb to this. Or is it a seperate quad and there are no conversion kits coming out.
Any help appreciated

 

Well, it has a 40mm throttle body. I would assume that all you would need is the throttle body, CDI, and maybe a new fuel pump. It can't be much more seeing that the EFI is only like $400 more than the carbed versions. Seeing that it is a 40mm throttle body, I may look into doing that EFI conversion to my scrammy

 

Now that I think of it, the 700 has a new head design to accomidate the fuel injectors. I guess if the EFI ever trickels down to the 500 HO Sportsman, then I could probably adapt it to my scrammy[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
