WELL I have Found the rev limiter.I tried jetting it but, it wasn't the cause of the backfiringand popping!
SO now I'm at that point where I don't know what to do>
FRIST OFF WHY IS tHAT REV LIMITER SO DAM LOW!!!!!!
I HAVE never hit a rev limiter on a yamaha RAptor, Even One that is highly modded. What is up with that.Polaris needs to fix this>

Anyway What kind of CDI can I get? I'm not looking to spend A ton of money For a Cdi with tons of Curves.
What kind of prices Am I looking at. anyting Less then a HPD One.

Also Maybe one of you Knows If you can just cut the wire that controls the rev Limiter. If SO what Colour wire is it>

I only have a slip on W/b silencer Dyno jet kit and K+n filter and I don't need much more other then a little higher rev without popping

dude polaris put the rev limit on the predator so you wont float your valves. i installed vortex cdi on mine and stronger valve springs well worth the money.

 

To be honest with you I believe that the rev limiter is kinda low as well and do not like it but, I have found that if I shift before I get close to it the bike just keeps pulling and is faster than if I ride the border of the limiter. If you can, try short shifting a little bit, if not Rath, Vortex and others offer an aftermarket box. Good luck!
