Default Will 27" ITP 589's fit on 04 700 Sp?

i've seen an 03 700 with them and seemed unstoppable. i looked at putting them on my 04 with aftermarket wheels, but looked like they would rub pretty bad. also, any comments on best mud tire?

are the 589's the same as mudlites... both made by ITP... and i am not a mud tires expert so dont laff at me...
i like the mudlites alot.. worked wonders on my buddys eiger... but never looked close enuff to notice if they said 589 on em or not... if they are different (which i think they are) id get the mudlites...

On the rear no problem plenty of clearance but on the front the tire rides very close to the tie rod end. I put 27 mudlites on my 500 which are 10" wide and had to put a wheel spacer on. The 27" 589's are 9" wide so may fit but will be close. Another thing is rubbing on the fenders when you hit bumps. I know the 7 has a bit stiffer springs than the 5 did. I still have my mudlites on c-series but will wear out my rawhides a bit first. Mud lites and 589's are totally different.

Last week I bought a '04.5 Sportsman 700 with 28x12x12 Mudlites on all 4 corners. There were 2 lift rings, 1" spacers and some modifying of the fender flare required. The Mudlites are totally different tires than the 589's. The ride much smoother and ane better in the deep mud. I have a nephew who has a '03 SP 700 with Super Swamper Vampires and so far my Mudlites have equalled his vamps.

i would stick with 26s itp 589s, 27s will loose a little power unless you are going to add a clutch kit, i have 26 589s on my 04 sp600 with c-series and love the way they hook up in the mud, i also just installed daltons prim. & sec. clutch springs last night and can feel a real differents in it, ill test it all out this weekend.

hey 400 sp, let us know how your new clutch springs do. did you notice any power decrease from adding the 26's without other mods?

buckums, i did loose a tad of power on the bottom end when i went to the 26 589s, there 1 inch taller and heavyer than the rawhides i had, i installed the dalton clutch springs the other night , and just hiting it on a short run it picks the front end up in the air WAY more in high gear then it ever did, i used to could do wheelies in low gear till i put the 26 589s on , so i know i lost some power with them, i put the true test on it sat.
