Well fellows this is another alternative post that I would like to see some opinions on if you have ever rode one I personally think the sportsman does especially when it is in 2 wheel drive seems the foreman and rancher had a pull in cornering. And I would like to hear from the guys that have added the steering brackets since then if they have rode a bike that steered better....this one end this debate once and for all and bob3x4 can come over here and call all of you liars...

Why don't you go to the Honda Forum to ask "Honda" questions. This is the POLARIS forum.

No, he messed up the title, which was meant to be "WHICH steers best, the SPORTSMAN, rancher or Foreman". My friend has a foreman,it kicks a$$, but I think the steering is way heavy compared to my sportsman.
The Sportsman steers great, maybe a little too much oversteer in 2wd, but flip on the AWD and it keeps the rear end in line. Ranchers are kinda cute, I guess, I know some 14 year old girls with one, I don't see how you can compare it to an Sp or a Foreman. What's the deal with these steering brackets?

walexa the reason I posted this is bob4x4 made such a big deal as to call me a liar when I said that the foreman I rode steered better than the rancher, truthfully with the steering plates added to my sportsman it steered better than either the foreman or the rancher, I just wanted to show him that not everybody thought the rancher steered better than the foreman...

What steering plates are you talking about and what do they do?

Well I just bought a Sportsman and I own a Honda 300 but i dont know how comparable n steering the 300 and the rancher are but if any my honda 300 steers a bit easier I dont know if this is because it is nice and worn in. Or becasue the tires on the 300 are sorta weak

but when i steer the SP i almost dont like to steer it hard or surn hard becasue it almost feels like i am stressing the steering system

I dont think i am but hey i just got the SP a few days ago so im being a little careful

Rancher
Foreman
Sportsman

In that order, In my opinion after owning 3 Sportsman 500s and a 2000 450es
and simply riding a Rancher that is how I would rank em,

Well Atving, I'll bet you won't find a Rancher with those steering plates on it. By the way, if your Sportsman steers so well, Why the plates? My wife Weighs 105lbs., and has no problem steering my Rancher. Now acording to you, the Sportsman steers easier than a 450s, which steers easier than a Rancher. At least thats the load of s**T you are spewing in the Honda forum. If what you say is true, you needed steering extension plates on a machine that is easier steering than the one my wife handles with no problems. Well either you are a liar, or your a whimpy little runt. I say both.
