I bet you get a ton of 'pick mine' replies to this question! For what it's worth I just replaced my stock Dunlops with ITP Mud-Lites and I am thrilled with them. I have had only the stockers to compare but the improvement is astonishing. There's a bit of railway-tie shudder at bare crawling speed on pavement that disappears immediately at anything faster. Haven't tried mud yet but it claws through heavy snow where it would never go before. Reports of poor backing up traction because of directional tread I found to be wrong. My KQ backed up in the same stuff just fine. Didn't even lock the front diff. Stock rims. BTW the 26" Mud-Lites and over have markedly deeper tread lugs than 25" and under.

Aren't the Bighorns meant more for desert like riding?

I guess it depends where you'll be riding the most. Do you want something aggressive for mud or something somewhere in the middle? Maybe something close to stock in weight and tread depth?

589's, Mudlites, Mudrunner's or maybe something like a Mudzilla?

I was looking into the Mud-Lites for next season. A couple people have them that I ride with and I am impressed with what I have seen.

just check out my photo page, and you will see a set of 26x10x12's and 26x12x12's with a lift kit. they are a sweet mudding tire, as well as rock crawling.
