Default Sportsman Brake Question

Had a nasty chirp on my quad when I bought it three weeks ago. I got bored tonight and decided to find out what it was. I figured it was one of the CV joints or universals as the quad had 1900 miles on it. Well I greased everything up and as I expected it did not fix the problem though I was able to pinpoint it to the right rear area. I looked all the boots up and down and they were not in awful shape though a couple need to be replaced soon. I was about to jack it up and take the rear tire off and decided to take off the brake caliper and push it back and forth. After I took the caliper off the chirping was gone. Now for my questions. The pads have about an 1/8th of a inch left of braking surface on each pad. At what point do I need to replace the pads? They are warn about as far as the spacer between the pads will allow. Also are chirping brakes a sign of wear on a four wheeler? If so I will run down to the stealer and pick up a new set of pads tomorrow and drop them in. I was rather relieved when I discovered it was only the brakes! I figured it was the most expensive joint in the thing with my luck. The brakes work very well by the way so I don't think it is a caliper problem. What are the possiblities of a warped brake disk? My service manual will not be here till Thursday so any help is appreciated. Jay
