well i was attempting to get the jetting spot on via messing with the fuel screw....i thought i had it pretty close so i went for a pass thru the woods.... (top of 3rd)...

all of a sudden i realize im not making the next turn...so i lock the brakes up (well on/off to attempt to actually SLOW me down..) plan..>FAILED....

so i smacked a tree at probably 20mph or so.... only damage is the front bumper (so far that i can tell) the right side is cracked at both welds....

so anyone buy an aftermarket bumper and still have thier baja stocker? of course im willing to pay not looking for handouts...but i would rather not buy a whole new aftermarket bumper (i like the stockers styling)

and if i cant find an OEM one....what do you guys suggest for aftermarket? it would have to be cheap and pretty sturdy....

(the last crash i had (broken nose) was when my friend asked me to go riding even tho i didnt want to...and of course i didnt want to ride today either and BAM tree!)

the non baja bumper is the same but just has the plastic skid plate looking front instead of metal right? (have a picture of it?)

might be interested if i cant locate a baja one (i just checked prices on aftermarket bumpers [none on ebay] and rocky mountain has like 4...from 60-100 but i dont like any of them... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

This should be a lesson to you. You should WANT to ride all the time.

My old bumper has a plastic shield.

My new one is by "Broken Bonz" it is a polished 3/4 thick aluminum skull and cross bonz. I got the first for the DS they wanted a photo for their web site but could not find the site for you. I Broken Bonz at Oregon sand fest last summer

well i usually do want to ride...but the only place in town is my friends gpas shop....and its limited riding (a huge open field good for topping the quad out...) a river we can cross 3-5 times....woods trails and a 5 or so acre pond.... which currently only has 3 inches of ice ( we are gonna wait for about 4 to ride on it)

how much was the "broken bonz" bumper?

if i was gonna spend 100+ i think id get the one off ebay (the polished billet one)

so i think ill keep an eye out for a stock baja or yours if nothing else shows up
