Default Prairie 700, Grizzly or Polaris 700 EFI ?????

Gents,

I am getting ready to buy a big 'un and went looking yesterday. I have narowed it down to the Grizz, Polaris 700 EFI or the Prairie. One nearby shop sells all three. I went in with a bias of the Prairie as the #1, followed by the Grizz and with the Polaris as a third choice. No good Honda or AC dealer near where I ride or live.....Western Colorado.

So, the Service Manager tells me that they have much less trouble with the Grizz than the Prairie and then the shop owner tells me that the Prairie would be his third choice and that as far as he is concerned, the Polaris EFI is the one!

One of my riding buddies has a Prairie 650 which I have ridden a couple of times and although it has been relatively trouble free, the steering effort is quite significant. He bought a Grizz for his wife and she loves it and he has nothing but good things to say about it. His wife likes the ease of sterring on it.

Now to complicate things a bit further, I own a 99 Sportsman and a 98 Grizz. The Sportsman has been absolutley trouble free and the Grizz has cost a bunch in repairs.

Ease of steering and no trail breakdowns are my two most important characteristics...

So, what to ya'll think?

Thanks,

Slim

I would wait just a little longer because i've heard rumors of Kawasaki putting EFI on the 700.

Slim Wallet, I drove pretty much all kind of ATV and they can be trouble/cost free depending on the driver. So for the Grizz on my pictures had take quite of bit of abuse but still run pretty good. I liked it but way too tippy and not for me. I had a Honda Rubicon and was a good uttilities ATV but very hard to steer and hard on the arms after a long run. Drove Polaris (500HO and Explorer) was good overall quad but not ready for my kind of abuse. I was a bit scared of going with the Kawy P700, test drove it and that the kind of ATV I like for trail, pulling an little of mud bogging. The bike seem to be tought and very strong. The only Honda that would possibly be effortless on the steering could be the Rincon but not enought low power and torque...

Good luck
