Warrior, help?...
#1
Well here's what I have going on. I currently own a good old 2001 Blaster. One of my first sports quads, really just picked it up to give it a try and got it for a killer price. Well I love the torque and speed of it, but being almost 6' tall its kinda small. I'm only about 160lbs so its still very peppy and well with a few minor add-ons, its a really decent bike and will take me anywhere I want to go. I'm wanting to step however into something a bit bigger, something between say 300 - 400cc class. After doing alot of research I found that hardly none of them have reverse, something I don't use alot, except in winter on ice, which is a pain without it I quickly found out this year. I really wanted the Z400, but way out of my range, the banshee would be nice, but no reverse, same with the 400ex. So I'm looking towards a warrior, but I want to know if this bike is a real dog or can it be tweaked a little to enhance its power. I need help choosing a quad basically, something you guys I'm sure hate answering, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks
btw...I don't race, just mainly trail ride and hill climb, probably hill climb more then anything!!

i would go with a warrior they offer more torque and speed than most blasters, which will get you to the top of any hill fast. if you want real fast speed people say the yfz 450 is the bike. i've never riden one but i hope to own onw very soon! my neighbor has one and he's 6'3 and fits no problem he loves his so its just right for you.

Yah, I've heard the YFZ 450 is an awesome bike, I just wish yamaha would have made them years ago, they are so new along with the price tag too...Right now I really just want to trade my Blaster in for a decent used bike. I'm really trying to keep the price range below $3500 and with my trade it will be even less. The YFZ is just above 5k and I just can't do that this time around, but I'd take one if I found a killer deal on one!!

If a used Z400 is out of your range(the cheapest I've seen them is around 4300) then the Warrior is your best bet, especially for what you want to spend. A Warrior is an excellent trail quad, as well as hill climber, and you can usually find a pretty good deal on them used, some even with mods. Great reliability, as long as its taken care of, and reverse, wich can come in handy. It won't be the fastest, but for trailriding and such you don't really need to be. Good luck.

I also own a Susuki Ozark 250, well kinda bought it for my gf to ride, great bike, just kinda heavy and a little slower, but great for price. I do like the low end power a 4 stroke has, but anyways, I think I'm gonna gear towards the Warrior, unless I find a killer deal on a z-400, but with the Warrior, if it seems a little low on power when I get it, not speed , but low end torque, what is the easiest way to increase it. Thanks, you guys have been a great help!!
