Default RINCON ???

Does the Rincon have a reverse override like the Polaris' so it doesn't pop and fart after more than 1/3rd of the throttle is applied? Just curious. I thought an old guy I came across last summer was on one and it coughed and hacked when he tried to goose it backwards out of a mudhole. It was brand new so not sure if he knew what he was doing or not.

I've heard of one on here somewhere, just can't remember where. I think you can do it though. Maybe try looking back through different subjects. Try searching for Rincon on the topics page, you might find something.

EDIT: I do remember talking to somebody on here, because I didn't know what he was talking about. I just remember them saying to be very careful if I did put it on.

Good Luck

There is no reverse override on the Rincon.

Default RINCON ???

That sucks. I would like to get one but that problem, no engine braking under 20 KM/hr (which I could live without) and no low range is what is keeping myself and several people I know from around from buying one. Too bad. I really like this machine. Maybe in 10 years they will add those features.

I love my Rincon. You can't get a much better ride on the trails. The engine braking is fine except super low speeds. If you can swing it somehow, find one that you can go ride and try it out. That is the biggest probably with buying ATV's new, not many places that will let you ride them first. Makes choosing one a lot harder. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a low range for crawling along. If you are not going to do any really steep, technical trails where you have to literally crawl down hill than it is a great machine. I have done some steep trails and they aren't much of a problem, the brakes work great. The issue is "technical" stuff like rocks and such that you have to crawl over, around, and under. It's not easy to manipulate the machine around very well when you have to also concentrate and keep hold of the brake lever. I'm a pretty small compared to the size of the machine, bigger guys probably wouldn't have to work as much to manipulate that big thing around. With all that I have done, I have never needed a reverse override, plus I think a override can be very dangerous.

Good Luck
