Default info on pulling flywheel ???

I took off the pullstarter assembly and am looking right at the flywheel. I have a gear type puller that threads 3 bolts into the flywheel and has a center bolt that pushes against the center bolt that goes through the flywheel. I put it on there and started turning the center it got real tight and didn't move it feels like somethin is going to break if I try turning it any harder. It seems like there is somethin else holding it but I dont see anything. can anyone help me?? ( guess it would be esier if I had a manual) LOL

its really hard to get it off, we heated it with a torch and beat it a few times with a hammer and it still was hard to get off but it finally came.

Tighten it up real good and then give the center bolt of the puller a good hit with a hammer should pop off.

O.K. I got it (easy money) just tighten it until you think it is going to break and turn it another 1/4 of a turn and it will pop off into your hands. thanks for the info

If you do any heating, be careful, cause your stator is behing the flywheel. Some heating is o.k.. A very thin film of anti-sieze can be wiped on the crank before you re-install it.....just a film though.

If you are going to use heat on the flywheel, try a kettle full of boiling water poured on it,you risk damage useing a torch.
