I buy OEM..

I tried the cheapy pepboys motorcycle batteries before and finally went back to OEM on my old quad but regular motorcycle batteries arent up to the vibrations and shunt the plates in short order.

Gary you might call around to different dealers for pricing.

The same exact battery that is in the Raptor is also in my 98 Honda TRX300 4x4.

I have tried Bike Master and Yuasa and I definitely prefer the Yuasa brand, the lasted alot longer for me and took the heat without frequent recharging.

I am having trouble with my battery and it was just replaced. It seems to start the quad once and if the quad does not fire up on the first the battary does not have enough juice to crank over again. Any ideas?

I installed a Yuasa YTX20L-BS in the Raptor, it's a tight fit but it'll work. It has alot more power than the OEM battery. I bought online at www.discountmotorcyclebattery.com It's $54 and that's less than the OEM at the dealer for way more power. No problems cranking the 686 now.

I bought one from Wal Mart for $20 that is just a little smaller (in physicall size) than the OEM. It seems like it turns the motor over more easily than the OEM one I had, but it was getting kind of old. I can get the part # off of it if anybody is intrested.

Gary get the Grizzly 660 Battery, its a little bigger and boy does it spin over a 686 12.5:1 like a stocker. I have installed one in mine and love it.
