I GOT A STOCK 2004 PREDATOR 50 AND I'M LOOKING FOR SOME UPGRADES, I'VE ALREADY TOOK ALL THE LIMITERS OFF OF IT. IM LOOKING AT GETTING A NEW CDI THAT IS NOT LIMITED FROM THE FACTORY.

i noticed you said limiters not limiter,

can you let me know how many and what they are

i got my boy a scrammy 50 for christmas and the guys at the shop had removed some sort of little metal tab, i think thay said it was from the CDI

is there other stuff i can do???

 

THERE IS AN IGNITION LIMITER ON THE CDI (THE LITTLE METAL PIECE YOU HAD REMOVED)
THEN THERE IS ALSO A THROTTLE LIMITER SCREW THAT ALSO CAN BE ADJUSTED ON THE THROTTLE ASSM. I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE SCRAMMY'S, THOUGH I HEARD THEY DONT HAVE A CDI LIMITER.
I DONT KNOW WHAT YEAR THEY STARTED LIMITING THE CDI'S.......I' M TRYING TO GET THAT INFO OFF THIS SIGHT. I THING I CAN JUST REPLACE MY STOCK LIMITER ( THAT IS ALSO LIMITED INTERNALY)
WITH ANOTHER BRAND. THEY SAY IF YOU REPLACE IT YOU CAN GET ABOUT 2000 MORE RPM'S OUT OF THEM.

Well once you take all the restrictors off we were would here it start tapping the rev limiter when he was in long straight aways and stuff and any stock bike without one was able to pull away from him bad. It just lets your bike use all the rpm that it will give. Def need to do it bro. Its just another choke off point they used.
