I was going to do motor mods, but the shocks on my 300EX totally suck.

The pre-load is cranked on the rear and it bottoms out every time, The fronts, are passable.

What to get?

I've been thinking about a set of 400EX A-arms, works fronts(no res..do i really need it?) for the 400EX, and a Works back with res.

Any other suggetions?

I like the 250R shocks, but i don't want to weld on my frame, i want a total bolt on set up.

Why dont you just go with works triple rates all the way around and maybe put 2 plus a arms on.

400EX A-arms would be plus 2 on a 300EX. Does works make a +2 arm, Triple rate spring, no Res. shock for the 300EX?

Will a Works shocks in triple rate in the +2 setup fit on the 400EX A-arms?

I've heard that the 400EX shocks won't fit without welding on a new bracket

I'm confused, i think i am going to have to get the back first, then work on the fronts later. I still have some one level of preload on the Fronts Left. I also have a bent front A-Arm, i just noticed today, its forward about maybe a 1/4 of an inch. It doesn't seem to bother handling.

Is the Works Quad Star for 499 a good shock? It's the only one i see for the 300EX in Dennis Kirk.

Soem one said something bout that there is a company that makes that braket for the 300.
So that all you would really after to buy other than the 400ex parts..

I don't really want to weld on my frame, i guess i can try to find a welding shop and get it done. The bracket is 120, but it would really be worth it, then i could even use 250R a-arms with adjustable camber and 250R shocks!

I put my stock 250r shocks on my 300ex and they fit. They made the front end sit real high though it looked stupid.I wish I could put my 250r rear shock on my ex.The 300ex has no linkge darn!!
