[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] having problems with headlights dimming,going out,only one working .Vent tubes on tranny were off when pur chased.fuel pitcock valve came off not seated proper from factory.these are little things now but what else ???? THe agility of this machine is great but defenitly a lack of quality control from yamaha wont find these problems on my rubicon attention to detail is excellent one of hondas trademark..any other problems i should be watching for??? thanks roc

 

Sounds to me the dealer did a poor job in building your bike for you. I have the 04' Kodiak 450 and never had any problems. I would take it back to the dealer if you just bought it and complain.

Exactly what he said. I don't know exactly what is involved at the stealership when they put a bike together, but I'm 100% positive that anyone selling a $6K machine needs to check it over before they sell it. Take it back there and tell them you want everything checked over, or, what I'd do is just go over the whole bike yourself so you KNOW it's done right. Sorry you're having this problem.

 

i agree and did talk to the dealer even looked at the 450 in the crate the dealer just installs handlebars tires and does fluid checks and thier ready. a few other guys has had the same problems sold by other dealers in the area must of been a bad batch.

 

Maybe it was a bike made on a friday afternoon!
