Hey Gutpile, I was thinking I might have actually seen this after I said I had not and I was right. Go to the Suzuki page and look for a post by JJ54, it is titled KING QUAD REAR AXLE, scroll down to a reply by robnhouston and click on his tip page and he gives pictures and a description. Good luck if you make this work, that would of have made my King alot better if I could of used the locker in low. AlaskaBoy.

I did that when I first bought my KQ. It work just fine. It is very hard to steer when in lock so the manufacturer puts that sliding pin business in there so you can only lock it in super low, so some idiot doesn't lock the front end and drive into a tree and then claim the bike made him do it cause it wouldn't steer! The old litigous society and the ways makers keep from being sued. We all pay in the cost of the quad for the added complexity of the shifter so jerks don't sue Suzuki.

That is easy to do. Remove the shifter *****. The the shifter panel. On the right side remove the nut and pull the right side shift leaver out of the way. Move the shifter leaver on the left and a pin will pop out on the right side. Remove the pin, put it back togather and you are done. About 20 min.
