Default Polishing stock rims.

Is it possible to polish stock rims to a chrome finish. I know it is done on other parts, just wondering about rims. If so, how would I do it?

Sure it is, as long as they are aluminum. It is a lot of hard work and requires the right combo of polishing compounds and buffers. If you do decide to take the task on, if you want it to stay shinny for awhile you may want to put a sealer on it.

Start sanding with a semi rough sandpaper, keep working your way to and finer grades by NO MORE than double the previous grade. It's tedious and primitive but it works. Expand on that and your on your way.

You can just use buffing compund if theres deep scratches, it wont be able to cut into them and remove them.
