Apple butter oil!!
#1
I checked my oil today and it looked like apple butter. Damn head gasket must of blown last weekend. Which I only drove it for about 10 minutes. Had no signs it went either. I finally got this damn thing to run right. I've been fighting this Raptor forever. And now this. It was also a HP gasket. Probably only has about 3 hrs on it. I also did re-torque the head after the first couple rides.
We also have an 03 Raptor that has a blown head gasket. It will burn a quart of oil in about and hour. So look like we are going to have head gasket changing party soon.
Just thought I would share my sad story. If anyone knew how much trouble I've had with this Raptor. Its surprising I still own it.

I am having all kinds of problems with my raptor too. First came the hotcam installation. No big deal, but we were missing a few important parts. Then a piston went in, and nothing has run right since. I would love to have the power I had with just a pipe back. Now I'm ready to send this thing out to sparks, or sell it and buy a yfz....

The studs are fatigued after being reused....I am in the same situation right now. You apply the correct torque and afterwards the reused studs stretch. Another set of OE studs are in order.....OR I have read here that Bob Craycraft has a stronger set available.
