lighten the flywheel

Default lighten the flywheel

has anyone taking some weight off a flywheel 90cc polaris if so how much can be taken off and what will it gain? also kart tire? where could I get hubs to fit 6in wheels polaris stock axle new or used and how much $. thanks in advance

Default lighten the flywheel

kart tires: I have to take a set of rear hubs and lathe out the splined part. The splined part then fits in the go-kart hub. Really easy,but it costs a set of hubs [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
Sorry I cannot comment on the flywheel weight. I do lathe down the LT's flywheel. I do not know how much tho as my scales do not weigh that heavy.Lightening should help,and surely you can't hurt anything trying unless you lathe through it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

thanks for the info but how do you keep the spline part in the kart hub?
