Default 20 Hour Break-in period ??

I am approaching 20 hours on my 2003 Grizzly and saw in the manual about bringing the bike in for an inspection at 20 hours. Because I don't have any more warranty, Do I need to bring my bike in? Everything is fine, and I think is it a waste on $200.00 to bring it in ....Anybody have something to tell me ,,,please do,,,,Thanks,,,Terry!

I don't think it needs to be taken in for service.
Just.
1. Change the Oil
2. Check the nuts and bolts make sure everything is tight
3. greese all the zerks.
4. If your valves are making noise tighten them if not i wouldn't worry about it.

That's what I did after the first 20 hours.

I agree with BlackRaptor, I just did mine at 17.4 and I did the same. Took me about an hour. This is also what my dealer told me to do, no sense of bringing it in if you know what to do. AlaskaBoy.

Agree w/ them too. Change your oil, check other fluids, nuts, and bolts. The valves should be adjusted but from what I've read here, very few people adjust regularly. In fact, I've got my 2nd adjustment coming up soon.

Changing the oil and checking the valves are the most important things after the atv is broken in. The oil will be full of tiny bits of metal from the the break-in, and the valves normally get slightly tighter as they seat on the valve seats. I do my own work, so it's no big deal, just a few hours in the garage. If it were mine, I'd change the front and rear differential fluids, check the drive belt, etc.. but that's just me.
