if you ride dunes the 250 ex might be a machine to look at.

I don't know...I am 13 and I can handle a Warrior 350 fine but then again I am bigger than basicly all kids I know and some adults (I'm 6'2 245)and I have been riding for a while..., and I actually want something more along the lines of a Raptor. I am not saying to go out and buy them one buy any means, but I would look into a Warrior....they are the perfect beginner quad but still have the power to satisfy the people who need some.

If you do not want your nephews starting out on anything that big, go with a 250ex then. You pretty much don't have to worry about anything besides making sure it has gas....shaft driven so no chain adjustment...and they are very reliable from what I hear.

check your laws by you. Here and, in the MI. Dunes you cannot ride over a 200-250cc untill your 16.

If So, Blaster is the move. It is the quickest of the smaller bikes. It also has a low price tag.

most 10- 13 year old kids can handle a 350cc or larger quad. the frist quad i rode when i was there age was a big bear 350 and it wasnt too big. so you might want to go for something like a warrior or a 300ex. I think that they will grow out of a 250ex really fast. so if you dont want to be buying a new quad every year or to i would go with something in the 300 range. you can always put a larger sprocket on the back whill they are still learning and then put the stock size one back on when you think they are ready for more speed. just an idea.

My nephews are that age, and they each have Blasters. I think that it is a great bike for them, and it teaches them the fundamentals without having to really muscle something bigger around. I know that they could handle a larger bike, but then I would have to lift more when they get stuck

Ultimate Aussie -I'm sure all the little kids think they are big enough to handle any size but, at the dunes in Michigan if the DMV catches you on a bike over 200cc when your under 16 the bike gets impounded and, you get a fat fine and, have to bail your bike out. So, if your 10 or, 13 and, you have a 350 you will not be able to do anything but ride it in your yard unless your daddy is rich or, a cop!
