New belt

Putting on a new belt today for the Boss. Looks pretty straight forward in the manual. Anybody got any tips? If my neighbors kids are outside today, are they gonna learn any new words?

I put on on last week, very easy........LOL about the neighbor kids. (been there & done that) I heard some one say about make sure you can read the polaris on the belt, after you get it on. (why I don't know) I need to check that on mine.

Thanks RAJ. If anyone is in the South Grand Prairie area around noon today, that's just me puttin the RCR kit in. I may not get another hand to help until after 5, the spring should be a challenge by myself.

Reading Polaris on the belt (vs reading it upside down) is just a way to make sure that if you have to take it off that you put it back on so it turns the same direction. I put all my automotive belts on the same way so that I can read the brand or p/n just for that reason. If you already have it on upside down, just leave it. Make a note if you have to remove it so you install it running the same direction.

OK, that was way too easy. I guess this means when I work on some thing else, it really going to be a pain in the a$$!

I assUme you just remove the rear larger wheel, just pop the cir-clip? off it slides and install new belt? or have I simplified it too much? I went to book store to look for a service manual, no luck and dealer is closed until Tuesday :-(
Was riding Saturday and started to hear something banging around in the belt area. Stopped riding and went home to find that there is a 4" section of the belt that is missing its teath and that was what I was hearing boucing around in the cover.
I really liked the Deepwater/Cooper Creek area, near Clinton, MO. Glad I was able to find it through this site!
