There were some initial batch problems, but Polaris stood behind them and it's no longer an issue.

didnt stand behind mine...
"normal wear and tear" i was told.
i just noticed them being bad 4-5 months after i bought it, so they had time to wear in that time... i guess...

Hozed, did you elevate the issue above your dealer? Or, did you settle for what they told you? Polaris is your dealer's biggest customer, the dealer has a fine balance between keeping a customer happy, and not pushing the manufacturer too hard. The customer has a responsibility to make sure the dealer stands behind the product they purchased. If the dealer isn't thorough enough, odds are, the products won't be backed the way they should be. When we've had reports of Polaris warrantying seat covers, and balljoints at other locations....that pretty much points the finger at the source of the problem. For a first year, true sport quad offering, Polaris has gone out of their way to back this machine like no other manufacturer. We've put these machines through wars, and some have beat the snot out of them....but they still backed 'em. Thanks Polaris.

I had no problems getting mine replaced. In fact all my warrenty work has been taken care of without any problems. My dealer even warrentied a part that I broke and I told him I broke it, he went back took the part off a brand new quad in the warehouse and just gave it to me. He said it should not have broke like that and he would get it warrentied.

I was just curious because i have to replace my a-arms and i might as well change the joints while i am working on the front end. They probably are worn out to

polaris has treated me VERY well.. except with the ball joints.
i am very good friends with the people at my dealer... and they tried to get them to cover them... i was standing right there while they were on the phone... i cant complain and never did make that big of a deal about it... because i was treated well in the past.

they suck plain and simple. 04 and 05 aren't any better then 03's.I have tried everything even installed my own greese zerks(it helped) but they still wear out fast.Polaris Never coverd me on the ball joints BUT they have taken care of my in many other way.Just the other day I got the news that Polaris will cover my transmission on my predator(it blew 3rd)and my warranty was all used up. You can't beat that, so paying 30 something dollars for a ball joint dosen't bother me.
