what does .040 & .080 this mean

Default what does .040 & .080 this mean

when you buy a piston kit they say .020. up to .080 is this the size of the piston or what isnt bigger better and dont you need to have the motor honed and or bored anyway when you replace the piston
thanks i hope this isnt to dumb of a ???

Default what does .040 & .080 this mean

.020-.080 is a measurment of thousands of an inch on oversized pistons, depending on how much you overbore your cylinder/jug you'll have to use the correct oversize piston. Its better to go with the smallest overbore to get more life out of your jug.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
