Does anyone have AC Nerf Bars? What do they look like? Is there a pic on the website somewhere? I am wondering if they are full size, running back to the rear tire with the stock black foot protector removed. I am waiting for someone to come up with a better rear fender/foot protector setup. Also, if at some point I run taller rear tires I need to know how much clearance I'll have. The stock rear fenders are too thin and droop and bounce around if you remove the black foot protectors.

Scooby I have the AC racing nerfs. They do not run all the way back and replace the black plastic foot protector. They look similar to all the other nerfs out there. However they dont clamp on they bolt on to the front motor mount and foot pegs. It is the strongest set up I have ever seen.I dont think anyone else has these yet because my DS was used as as the prototype.I also have bumper, skid plates and six pack rack. All are very nice looking and strong.

AC Racing also has a front bumper and rear grab bar? Are there pics somewhere on the web?

Thanks.

When I bought my nerf bars Mr Greydon told me that the nerf bars he was selling were made by the same company that make AC. Whether he is full of **** or not I dont know but it sounds like the same setup. You have a steel bar that bolts to one of the engine mounts , you slide the nerf bars on that, drill and bolt, then drill and bolt to the foot peg. they are vary sturdy.

The only thing I worried about was that the stock bolt is not long enough for the bar. But the lock tight they use from the factory is so strong that I twissted the bolt in half trying to get it off. I had to get a replacement from my dealer.

All in all I am vary happy with them. Ron Wood stage one and skid plates next up!!!

Maybe Graydon and AC Racing use the same company to mass produce their nerfs I dont know,However I am sure that the initial fabrication was done by AC because I watched them being made from scratch on my DS.Hope this helps
